How the lottery works
Every two months the Ministry of Finance draws the uniform-invoice lottery on the 25th of the odd-numbered month: one Special Prize number (NT$10 million), one Grand Prize (NT$2 million) and three First Prize numbers (NT$200,000). The Special and Grand prizes need all eight digits to match exactly. The three First Prize numbers also pay smaller prizes for trailing matches: seven digits win NT$40,000, six NT$10,000, five NT$4,000, four NT$1,000 and three NT$200, and in some periods extra three-digit Additional Sixth Prize numbers are drawn. Type the last three digits for a quick screen — a match means you have won at least NT$200 — or all eight digits for the exact prize. Several receipts can be checked at once, one per line.
Prize table
- Special Prize NT$10,000,000 — all 8 digits equal the Special Prize number.
- Grand Prize NT$2,000,000 — all 8 digits equal the Grand Prize number.
- First Prize NT$200,000 — all 8 digits equal one of the three First Prize numbers.
- Second NT$40,000 (last 7 digits), Third NT$10,000 (last 6), Fourth NT$4,000 (last 5), Fifth NT$1,000 (last 4), Sixth NT$200 (last 3) — matched against the First Prize numbers.
- Additional Sixth Prize NT$200 — last 3 digits equal an additional three-digit number, when one is drawn.
Claiming a prize
- Prizes can be claimed from the 6th of the month after the draw for three months (this period: see the dates above). Receipts presented after the deadline are void.
- Fifth and Sixth prizes (NT$1,000 or less) can be redeemed at convenience stores, supermarkets and post offices; larger prizes are paid by designated banks against your ID, and prizes above NT$5,000 are subject to 20% withholding tax.
- Cloud invoices stored on a carrier (載具) are checked automatically by the e-invoice platform. This tool is for the numbers printed on paper receipts and e-invoice certificates.
- The winning numbers come from the Ministry of Finance e-invoice site and are updated after every draw.
